Nathan Volke Receives Endorsements from Anne Arundel County Unions & Industry Associations

Nathan Volke today announced that several leading unions and industry organizations have endorsed his candidacy for the Anne Arundel County Council in District 3. Volke has received endorsements from the following organizations:

  • Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 1563

  • American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 2563, representing Administrative and Technical Employees in Anne Arundel County

  • American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 582, representing Labor Maintenance Employees in Anne Arundel County

  • Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors

"I have spent time meeting with members of each of these organizations to understand their unique strengths and challenges, and I am humbled and honored to have received their support," said Volke. "The members of these organizations provide critical services to the residents of Anne Arundel County, and I look forward to working with each of them."

Volke will appear on the ballot for the Anne Arundel County Council during Maryland's General Election, which will be held on November 6, 2018.

 

The Anne Arundel County Council is the elected legislative body of the County and enacts, repeals and amends all public local laws. The Council also hears resolutions for administrative issues, and acts as the fiscal authority of the County. The Council holds bi-monthly legislative sessions that are open to the public.
